Emmanuel, an 11-year-old from a rural village, had always dreamed of going to school. However, his family’s financial struggles made education seem like an unattainable luxury. While other children carried books, Emmanuel spent his days helping his mother sell fruits by the roadside to make ends meet.
A Chance Encounter
One afternoon, a Life Ambassadors International volunteer named Chinoye visited Emmanuel’s village as part of an outreach program. She noticed his curiosity as he watched other children attending a community literacy session. Struck by his eagerness to learn, she approached him and learned about his circumstances. Moved by his story, Chinoye decided to take action.

Without hesitation, Chinoye and the LAI team provided Emmanuel with school supplies, books, and a scholarship to enroll in a local school. But the kindness didn’t stop there. The community, inspired by the generosity of LAI, came together to support Emmanuel’s education, ensuring he had proper meals and a stable learning environment.
